When we opened The Houndry, it was the realization of a long-time dream for both of us. Having met in 1998, we soon learned that we shared many things in common, among them a love of animals in general and dogs in particular. We often talked about how we would some day like to open a dog care facility together, and in the backs of our minds we were always preparing for that moment. In the following years we were married and moved from downtown Chicago to the Lakeview neighborhood where we currently live with our two Golden Retrievers, Senna (5) and Mika (3), and our beautiful new baby boy Parker born May 2006.

Together, we developed The Houndry to be more than just a kennel. With 7500 square feet, we provide your dog with a clean, friendly and aesthetically pleasing environment as well as offering convenient, premium services at a fair and competitive price. A priority of ours is to take advantage of the latest in natural products and methods to better serve the health or our guests and employees as well as minimizing our impact on the environment. Our objective has been to establish standards in canine-related services that currently do not exist in this area. We strive to maintain the highest levels of service and to cater to your specific needs.
