The Houndry is a climate-controlled daycare facility where guests can comfortably romp and play with all their friends on our SportImpact floor. This environmentally friendly surface provides superior impact protection while resisting abrasion and liquid penetration. Unlike concrete it’s safe for your dog’s joints while preventing bacterial growth commonly associated with rubber mats. Not only does your dog get to play on a healthier surface, he won’t go home smelling like the zoo.

What is Daycare?

While at The Houndry, the staff will ensure that your dog receives a healthy balance of rest as well as activity, integrating command and response into their play. Staff members will monitor the level of play to prevent dogs from over-exerting themselves. Unlike other facilities, our rest times don’t rely on crating your dog. Ambient adjustments allow for dogs to rest and relax in an open environment, like at home, rather than being isolated in a crate. And after a day of ruff-housing with friends, we will make sure your pal gets a thorough check over, a brushing and, if you choose, a spritz of all natural doggy deodorizer. Even though he’ll go home tired, he’ll look and smell fresh!

Superior Staffing

All of the staff members at The Houndry are trained in canine first aid through the American Red Cross. We’ve also received extensive professional instruction in various dog-handling disciplines that include pack management, aggression, canine communication, calming signals and temperament screening. All of this is part of our commitment to providing the best dog care available anywhere.

At The Houndry, dogs are constantly supervised under the watchful eyes of our management. And if your dog is older or less active, we have a special area reserved for them as well, featuring cozy furniture and beds for their comfort. Whether it’s because of work, weather, guests or fests, our facility is here to provide the play and social time your pooch craves when your schedule keeps you busy.
